Festival on the Moor Presents...

Festival on the Moor 31st – 9th September 2007
Venues throughout the North York Moors.

Welcome to our festival - a whole ten days of Folk music, dance and arts, crafts and children’s entertainment. All of this is set against the dramatic and beautiful backdrop of The North York Moors.
Now in our 6th year we again welcome a host of visitors, musicians and artistes from around Britain, the USA and France. We hope the community at large and visitors alike will seize this opportunity to support the event and the Folk arts by coming along and showing their appreciation for the fine artistes who will be performing here.

This year, as ever, the events are spread around the entire Moorland region so we are accessible to many more people – and, of course, makes it a great deal more interesting for those folk coming here on holiday who will be able to discover new places.

Check out our concerts and activities throughout the year on our website and come along.

We are lucky to have around us a busy and healthy Folk music tradition. Despite the rich vein of Jazz, Blues, Rock, Classical, Choir and Country music, Folk music is still the one that speaks down the years from the heart of the area’s cultural tradition. It remains the people’s voice, and the heartbeat of the Moor.
We have Folk clubs and festivals all within and around the Moorland and we would encourage you all to support and enjoy this rich musical heritage to which we belong.
